We are a group of concerned, committed residents who are proud to call Vernon home.

Some of us grew up here.  Some of us own and operate businesses here.   Many of us are or have been involved in volunteer activities for years — in government, social services, community non-profits, youth athletics, educational endeavors and more.  All of us love our town.

We truly treasure the people and promise of Vernon.

Ours is a very special community.  We care about our neighbors.  We want the best for our children and for all children.  We expect safe neighborhoods and top-notch schools.  We desire quality recreational, educational and cultural facilities and opportunities for our families.

While Vernon has changed much over the years in terms of population and development, the very face and fabric of the town never has.  Helping one another has never gone out of style in Vernon.

In late 2015 a small group of caring citizens joined together to form The Vernon Foundation as a special way to greatly increase philanthropy within our community. We hope to build, over time, a substantial amount of funds – the interest of which we will distribute annually to a wide array of community groups and non-profits in Vernon.
